Invictus Launch Week is a flagship in-game event and cinematic campaign within Star Citizen, celebrating the United Empire of Earth Navy while unveiling new spacecraft, storylines, and large-scale environments inside the evolving universe of Stanton. Produced alongside RSI’s broader film and marketing efforts, the project blends real-time game assets with cinematic visuals to deliver epic, galaxy-spanning moments for a global audience.
On Invictus, I served as the Lead Houdini Artist, helping design and build the core FX systems used throughout the production — with a particular focus on large-scale, cinematic sand simulations and atmospheric environments. I developed the foundational procedural workflows that powered these shots, while collaborating closely with a world-class team of artists and directors to balance physical realism with strong artistic intent. The result was a flexible FX pipeline capable of supporting massive resolution demands, complex world-building, and the heroic tone of the campaign.
